
Patricia Elliott assumed the position of Minister Counsellor (Commercial/Economic) in August 2023 at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. Previous to this position, she was the Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Consulate in Hong Kong (2019-2022) and in Los Angeles (2015-2019). From 2010-2015, Patricia was the Regional Director and Senior Trade Commissioner for the Prairies and Northwest Territories for Global Affairs Canada, based out of the Regional office in Calgary, Alberta. While Deputy Director for the Vancouver Regional Office (Pacific Region) from 2008-2010, she was the lead for the Invest in Canada initiative for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Patricia studied Communications at Université Laval and has also worked with a number of other Government of Canada departments, including Industry Canada, Canadian Heritage, National Defense and Elections Canada/International Affairs. She has a background in strategic planning, is fluently bilingual in English and French and has recently completed German language training.
Patricia is an avid reader of historical fiction, enjoys yoga, biking, skiing and is consistently planning her next travel adventure.
